Characterization of chalcone isomerase 4A \(\textit{(CHI4A)}\) gene in \(\textit{Pueraria mirifica}\)

Pueraria mirifica is a popular medicinal plant and rich in phytoestrogens, especially isoflavonoids. The chalcone isomerase (CHI) gene well-known as key factor biosynthetic pathways such flavonoid, isoflavonoid, anthocyanin biosynthesis. Among four CHI subfamilies, group IV remained largely uncharacterized P. mirifica. By isolation cloning, the CHI4A was amplified sequenced. A dataset that included genes from isolation, transcriptome, Glycine max constructed for analysis. total of 31 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNPs) detected among sequences 14 SNPs were found subgroups. Thirteen changed amino acid genes; however, they do not affect core active residues protein structure. Two sites typical 4 Fabaceae family: Ile50 Tyr106; one conserved site Asn113, this study, which similar to result previous study on CHI4. three-dimensional model isolated enzyme with high confidence level. provides more information about variation profile further experiments.
